Stella Times…36 Weeks

Dear Stella,

This has unfortunately been the week of sickness in our house. You kicked us off with your runny nose and head cold last Thursday, and Daddy and I promptly followed suit. I got off pretty lucky with just a couple days of feeling cruddy, but poor Daddy has been going bed earlier than YOU all week! Luckily we are all starting to feel better now, but it was a rough few days for you.

This is on day 1 of being sick – by day 3 you were a hot mess!

Thankfully, you are a pretty happy sick child, and I think the most exciting thing for you that kept you really happy was that you figured out how to crawl last Thursday!! I came home from work on Thursday night, and your Daddy and Auntie had just watched you crawl from one end of the living room to the other. Just a minute later, I heard you crying, and this is what I found:

Sorry for the blurry cell phone picture, but it was too funny not to share!

The rest of my week was spent chasing after you. You are a daredevil and love to pull up on anything and everything you can. You’re still not so sure about crawling on the grass, but you’re getting there. 🙂

Eating is still going really well. In fact, it was a blessing this past week that you love solid food so much, because I think nursing was really hard for you when you were so stuffed up.
Thanks to the new movement capabilities in your world, Daddy had to drop your crib mattress to the lowest setting today. I kept waking up to you crying this past week because you had stood yourself up and couldn’t get back down. Poor baby! It scared me too, because I didn’t want you to somehow pull yourself right out of the crib! No chance of that now – Daddy made sure of it. 🙂

You’re a mover and a shaker already my child – I am so proud of you. 🙂

Love,
Momma
